Get to Know Express Modular

As a seasoned leader in custom modular homes, at Express Modular we pride ourselves in the ability to design, engineer and build a truly custom crafted home. Our team of expert consultants achieves this while maintaining our core beliefs of quality, customer satisfaction, service and value. We offer hundreds of standard plans, but they are used as a mere starting point to be changed by customers to meet specific lifestyle and housing needs. More often we are exploiting our modern modular construction techniques to provide truly custom homes for our happy customers.

Our modular homes combine the best practices of traditional, site-built construction with the technological, economic and environmental advantages of creating your custom home in a controlled environment. The component parts in any home (for example, a light or a floor truss) are manufactured in a controlled factory environment according to precise specifications and tested to ensure that they meet applicable standards. Modular homes from Express Modular are no different – we build our homes using similar techniques. The modular construction process results in a home that is built better, greener, faster, and with a fraction of the headaches presented by traditional, on site construction.

About Modular Home Construction

Designing Your Modular Home

Building off-site in a controlled environment using the modular construction methodology provides many inherent green advantages over conventional construction. It does this by minimizing disturbance to the site, reducing vehicular traffic, and lowering the construction costs of modular homes. Building in a controlled environment means virtually no weather delays. Materials are ordered, received and safely stored in a dry warehouse so replacement due to weather damage or loss is eliminated. It also means that while your home is being constructed in the factory, that site development is occurring simultaneously and significantly shortening the completion time. Modules are “shrink-wrapped” at the factory to protect your home while being transported to your home site.

Final quality assurance is completed at the factory, and your custom modular home is placed on your building site. Once onsite, a crane and an expert crew place your home on its foundation. Modular homes are built to withstand all of the stresses of delivery to your site and being raised by a crane. All of this was accomplished in a timeframe that was one-half to two-thirds of the duration needed by traditiona outdoor construction. Once finished, modular homes reflect the same design intent and specifications of the most sophisticated site-built home – without compromise.

Energy Efficiency

Today’s homebuyer expects energy efficiency. Express Modular prides itself in producing the most energy efficient home possible. Currently an Energy Star partner, Express Modular offers many features as standard that meets or exceeds current Energy Star, LEED, and Green Building Standards. Express Modular allows you, the customer, the choice to enhance any of our modular homes to meet the requirements for the program of your choosing. If it’s an optional Energy Star Certified home you require, Express Modular will engage a third party Energy Star rater to guarantee your new home meets or exceeds the present requirements mandated by Energy Star.

Modern modular construction means less homeowner headaches. Indoor construction in a controlled environment means exterior finishes are completed last, instead of first. We can build your new home from the inside out, the opposite of conventional outdoor construction. What this means to you is that the building envelope of your new home can be designed to be super energy efficient. This just comes standard with modular homes and their construction process. Increased insulation, better sealants, and the use of advanced materials are just a few of the reasons to pick the worry-free benefits of modular construction for your new home.
