Get to Know Impresa Modular

An industry leader in providing custom modular homes, at Impresa Modular we take pride in our ability to plan, develop and construct a truly custom crafted home. Our family of experienced consultants achieves this while promoting our core beliefs of service, quality, customer satisfaction, and value. We offer 100’s of classic designs, but they are typically nothing more than a starting point to be customized by customers to meet particular lifestyle and housing needs. More often we are using our modern modular building techniques to create truly custom homes for our satisfied customers.

Modular homes from Impresa Modular combines the most desirable methods of traditional, site-built construction with the economic, technological and environmental advantages of building your new home in an indoor factory environment. The individual parts in any home (for example, a cabinet or a roof truss) are manufactured in a controlled factory environment according to defined specifications and tested to ensure that they meet industry standards. Impresa Modular’s homes are no different – we create our homes using similar techniques. The modular building process results in a home that is built faster, greener, better, and with virtually none of the headaches presented by historic, site built construction.

Creating Your Modular Home

Building modular homes off-site guarantees higher construction quality management. Materials that are delivered to the factory location are safely and securely stored in a warehouse to prevent damage and/or deterioration from moisture and the elements. Just like you have come to expect with every product you use in your everyday life, stringent Quality Assurance/Quality Control programs promote increased quality of construction every step of the way. Why accept inferior quality in your home when you can select superior modular construction to protect your family with a healthy and safe living environment?

Structurally, modular homes have to be built much stronger than conventional homes. This is because each module must be engineered to independently withstand the stresses of delivery to your build site and then being lifted with straps by a crane and positioned onto your foundation. Once together and with connections completed, the modules turn into one integrated wall, floor and roof assembly. Some complex finishes demand completion onsite and are scheduled for done quickly after the installation of the modules on the foundation. You should plan to be moving into your new home in as little as 4-6 weeks after delivery of your home to your job site.

Planning for Modular Home

Modular Homes are Custom Homes

Impresa Modular builds custom homes. While we may have thousands of standard home plans to review, we rarely build with them. Our prospective home buyers will use those plans as a “good start” towards designing their own custom home plan or they will bring us a custom house plan from a different resource. Some will use our free design tool and create their own house plan for us to “modularize” and use it to build their custom home. We are exclusive partners with a major custom house plan company, Architectural Designs, which makes available more than 28,000 custom house plans. We have teamed up with them to develop a modular friendly custom home plan collection that gives you access to thousands of home plans that can be purchased and built using modular construction.

There is really no such thing as a modular home. Modular is a construction technique, not a type of home. Impresa Modular is a custom home builder that chooses to only use modular construction for delivery of our custom built homes. Because we are the only nationwide modular home builder we have specific experience and insights that give you an advantage. Most custom builders only build homes in small geographic areas limiting their exposure to ideas, new methods, and unique building materials. You get the benefit of our broad exposure to how custom homes are built across the country.

Energy Efficiency

A home built to the 2012 Energy Code is roughly 15 percent more efficient than a house built to the 2009 Energy Code. A house built to the 2015 Energy Code is about 50% more energy efficient than one built to the 2009 Code. Today’s new homes must be more energy efficient. By including the Energy Star certification option to your new home, you could save up to $2,000 a year in energy costs and potentially more. Impresa Modular works with you to develop the perfect living environment. Attention to details like selecting a floorplan, selecting component features, lighting and heating are part of the process that defines our energy efficient custom modular homes.

Modern modular construction means less homeowner headaches. Indoor construction in a controlled environment means exterior finishes are finished last, instead of first. We can build your new home from the inside out, just the opposite of building outdoors. What this means to you is that the exterior envelope of your new home can be constructed to be more efficient. This just comes standard with modular homes and their construction process. More insulation, better sealants, and the use of high-tech materials are several of the reasons to adopt the worry-free benefits of modular construction for your new home.
